Cornerstone Community Church enjoys a deep and rich relationship and gospel partnership with our denomination, Sovereign Grace Churches.

That being the case, we would encourage you to get to know our family of churches and what God is doing through our partnership both domestically and internationally.

And check back here regularly for updates and prayer requests related to our Sovereign Grace family.

MISSION VIDEO: ONE FAMILY UNITED IN CHRIST

Our shared partnership in Sovereign Grace is clearly defined theologically through our I'm eager to share with you our newest Sovereign Grace Mission Video: One Family United in Christ. Mario Figueroa and his church planting team started Vine Church Tampa in April 2025. What makes this church plant unique for Sovereign Grace is that it is bilingual, hosting an English service at 10:00am and a Spanish service at 11:45am. It's a creative model that serves the surrounding area.

I hope you take time to watch this video, giving gratitude to God for the grace at work in this congregation. It points to the hard work being done by believers who are committed to seeing the gospel go forward through one local church. Sovereign Grace Churches partnership is strengthened by having this church as a part of our mission together.

FOURTH QUARTER 2026 PRAYER REQUESTS

Dear Friends,

In his book “The Power of Prayer in a Believers Life” Charles Spurgeon writes, "What we desire in prayer is an audience with God. If the Lord does not hear us, we have gained nothing. And what an honor it is to have an audience with God. The frail, feeble, undeserving creature is permitted to stand in the august presence of God, the God of the whole earth. And the Lord regards that poor creature as if there were nothing else for him to observe, bending his ear and his heart to listen to that creature's cry. It is essential that we know that we are speaking to God and that God is hearing us.”

Amazing isn’t it? Because of Jesus’ finished work in the gospel, when we pray, we are permitted to stand in the august presence of God, and He bends his ear and heart and listens to our requests. That is stunning! Why wouldn’t we pray knowing that through prayer we have an audience with God?

Attached are the “Sovereign Grace Churches Fourth Quarter 2026 Prayer Requests” that you can use to stand in the august presence of God and pray for our family of churches.

Thanks for praying,

Mark Prater, Executive Director

Pray that God would give us opportunities to invite unbelievers and the unchurched
to Sovereign Grace churches as we hold our Christmas related events and services
in December. Pray also for opportunities to share the gospel with unbelieving family
members, friends, neighbors, and coworkers over the holiday season.
Pray for the Sovereign Grace Churches Pastors & Leaders Conference, November
11-13, 2026, in Orlando, FL asking God to work in a way that the leaders, pastors,
and wives of our churches would be equipped for what God has called them to do,
encouraged in our gospel partnership, and that our unity as a family of churches
would be strengthened for the purpose of advancing the gospel all for the glory of
God alone.
Pray for the annual Sovereign Grace Churches Council of Elders virtual meeting on
October 29, 2026, asking God to give our pastors wisdom to make decisions that
strengthen our mission, foster our unity, and that best serve our churches.
Pray for Jeff Palen and his team as they plant Center Church Star, ID asking God to
draw unbelievers and the unchurched giving them opportunities to share the gospel
with them.
Pray for the nation of Ethiopia asking God to end a civil war, which has started again
between the Ethiopian government and the Tigray People’s Liberation Front that
controls the Tigray region. Specifically pray for the members and pastors of Trinity
Fellowship, a Sovereign Grace church in Addis Ababa asking God to protect and
provide for them.
Pray for Bob Kauflin as he leads a Sovereign Grace Music Mini-Conference in the
United Kingdom October 14-19, 2026.
Pray for Juanjo Salano, an ordained Sovereign Grace pastor, who is seeking to plant
a Sovereign Grace church in Lebanon. Recently he started a bible study that 16
people attended. Please pray for gospel conversions, and that this study would be
the seedlings for a church plant.
Pray that God would stir young men in high school and college to aspire to pastoral
ministry and pursue that calling sacrificially so that our family of churches can
continue to preach Christ and Him crucified for generations to come.
Pray that God would continue to provide financially for Sovereign Grace Churches
so that we can fund the gospel opportunities He is giving us throughout the world.
